One of few directors in Bollywood, who’s film could successfully reach in the club of 100 Cr, well this man has done it thrice, alongside with the Super star and the bhaijan of Bollywood. Together they have broken many records of Box office and will continue to do so as and when they come together. The maker of an iconic movies like Sultan, Tiger Zinda Hai & Bharat, needs no introduction to the Bollywood buffs.
While talking to Bollylands.com team, Ali Abass Zafar refreshed his journey of Budapest & Innsbruck during the shoot of Sultan & Tiger Zinda Hai respectively.
“We shot for Sultan in Budapest and the reason for going there is because Budapest is the wrestling capital of Europe. And since the film was based on the sport of wrestling , we were very clear to go to the city which is known for wrestling . Over the period of time , there have been wrestler from Hungary who have time & again proven their medal in Olympics Or world wrestling championship. It’s a stunning city so we went there and Salman had already gone there & shot before for the movie called Hum dil de chuke sanam.
There is a beautiful chain bridge there where we shot the entire sequence, Also we shot, lot of iconic places in Budapest so it was good and fun altogether”
About Innsbruck, it’s a stunning beautiful small town with great food and lovely people .The kind of facility we wanted to shoot a film with the size of Tiger Zinda hai, was all available there. We had technicians that came from all over Europe to execute that huge action sequence which includes real wolfs which came from Budapest. So it was a wonderful experience.
